Wedding gown, off-white, cotton gauze-like fabric, piped neckline, shoulders, armscye, waist, fanned bodice front, back bodice hook & eye closure, slim 3/4 length bell shape lined sleeves, bodice front waist has a shallow rounded dip, cartridge pleats attached to the piping at skirt waistline, small slit located in a seam on the right used to acess a pocket tied to wearer's waist, cotton or linen bodice lining with shadow stitching (indicating previous use), completely hand constructed; circa. 1851. |
